Emergency Homeowner’s Loan Program

HUD has announced a new emergency loan to help homeowners who are having a hard time paying their mortgage. If you are a New York homeowner facing foreclosure, experiencing a drop in income of at least 15 percent resulting form unemployment or a medical emergency.  The mortgage covers past due mortgage payments up to 24 month or $50,000.

Credit counseling agency CredAbility has been appointed by HUD to qualify New York State homeowners.
