New York Citys DHE – Disabled Homeowners Tax Exemption benefit provides a property tax exemption to disabled NYC owners of 1,2,3 family homes, co-ops and condominiums. The property must be the primary home of the person/persons applying for the exemption- note if the person is receiving health care related service as an inpatient of a residential health care facility the applicant property may still qualify for eligibility. There is an income limit of $37,399.
