Brookynites are you an artist/independent contractor who is in need of afforadable health insurance check out Brooklyn’s Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center‘s Artist Access program. 

The Artist Access program allows artist to exchange patient services for health care credits.  Through proformances or interactive programs for patients, you can exchange your art/talent for health care credits.  Credits are accured in the artist’s personal account and can be used in lieu of dollars to cover sliding scale fees in Woodhull’s HHC Options programs.  The Hospitals Creative Arts Department review your proposals to determine their fit to the hospital and patients needs.  Currently Woodhull is the only hospital in New York City that has this program.
